www.reap-canada.com R.E.A.P. - Canada is an independent research, consulting and international development organization that has 20 years experience working with farmers, scientists and the private sector to develop and commercialize sustainable agricultural solutions for global fuel, fibre and food needs. REAP-Canada has been working since 1991 on bioenergy systems. It was the first agency in Canada to perform research studies on warm season perennial grasses as energy crops and the first agency in the world to successfully pellet and burn switchgrass as a fuel. REAP is currently working on bio-energy projects with farmers in Canada, China, Nigeria, the Gambia, and the Philippines. REAP-Canada has been working on Agro-Ecological Village (AEV) and international rural development programs since 1997 using a holistic, participatory approach to environmentally sustainable rural development that simultaneously addresses social development, gender equity, poverty mitigation, agriculture and the environment. REAP began successful implementation of AEV projects in the Philippines in 1997, China in 2003 and the Gambia in 2004. For publications and videos visit www.reap-canada.com
