REAP-Canada Participates in a Dynamic Biomass Discussion

On Thursday January 27th, 2011, Roger Samson was the guest speaker at the First Annual General Meeting of the Ontario Biomass Producers Group (OBPG), held at the lovely Mohawk Inn in Campbellville, Ontario.

The presentation highlighted the emerging fibre market for warm-season grasses and the barriers in place against the further development of the biomass energy sector. Mr. Samson’s well-received presentation followed introductory comments by Urs Eggimann of Eggimann Consulting Inc.

Another presenter, Don Nott, gave a producer’s angle on growing biomass crops. Mr. Nott had some very exciting news for the group, which ended the meeting on a high note!

The evening was a successful REAP-Canada outing, fitting in nicely en route to the 30th Annual Guelph Organic Conference.
