Badarra Jobe presents the AEV model to McGill university students

Mr. Badarra Jobe, Director of the Njawara Agricultural Training Centre (NATC), presented to a group of university students at McGill university informing them of his experience with the Agro-Ecological Village Model. In partnership with REAP-Canada, NATC has implemented the AEV model in several rural Gambian communities as a strategy in relieving poverty and enhancing food security. During its first year of implementation, the CIDA-sponsored partnership has trained 20 farmer trainers to develop learning farms from which others in their community can benefit from seeing first-hand the advantages of using ecological and sustainable agriculture.
