As part of a CIDA-sponsored internship program, Sean Sloan and Shelly Juurlink spent two months in Ste. Anne de Bellevue learning about REAP-Canada's international development programs; six months in the Gambia supporting local partners in program activities; and a final two weeks in Ste. Anne de Bellevue wrapping up their internship. This rewarding experience made both interns more aware of the hardships rural people face in developing countries and the benefits of participatory rural development programs. If you would like to participate in such a program, please visit our website at www.reap-canada.com. REAP-Canada will be recruiting at least two new interns for the 2005-2006 year.
